+ This is the page where we are storing questions/answers that are coming in.\\  If the amendment(s) pass and Corporations are not afforded "rights":\\ \\  - how are they to own property? if so, how?\\  - how can they sue and be sued? if so, how?\\  - how can they enter into contracts? if so, how?\\  - will the operation be afforded due process? if so, under what provision(s)?\\  - how will operations be protected from unreasonable search and seizure?\\ \\  - will, the "owners" and employees still be afforded limited liability? if so, why?\\ \\  - will corporations still be protected by the Commerce Clause?\\  - will corporations will be protected by the Contracts Clause?\\  IF corporations are still protected by these clauses, then how what gain have we made relative to our ability to say no to polluters (you know of CELDF? If not, see this: http://celdf.org/downloads/CELDF%20CITIZENS%20UNITED%20STATEMENT%20JANUARY%2017%202012.pdf They claim that the MTA language will not change anything)\\ \\  With respect to protection from self-incrimination and the right to a speedy trial, I can imagine that executives/owners will have to accept more liability, right? I have no problem with that, but I'll bet a lot of others do.\\ \\  While I think it's a good idea for us to help "good businesses" feel comfortable with this amendment language, I want to be careful not to set up any ideas that "things will still be the same", because we are doing this to clarify that what we mean by "rights" in the constitution. This action comes because things have gone awry and corporations have taken control of our government. And so we want things to change. We want the people to be in charge, as it was meant to be...\\ \\  I guess I'm saying that I don't want to suggest, in any official statements that we think that everything will still be the same. But then again, we also want to give confidence that we will preserve "good businesses" and their ability to operate.\\ \\  You've seen MTA's FAQs? https://movetoamend.org/frequently-asked-questions\\  You probably already know that they do not address any of the above questions.\\ \\  Also, because "our group" (PassMassAmendment.org) is state-level, we will have slightly different answers. I figure you already know that.
